Hotel Lilla Roberts and South Ostrobothnian company Tella have joined forces in a fashion partnership, as the hotel opens after the state of emergency has ceased in Finland. Tella offers guests of Lilla Roberts an exclusive benefit of their caps in June and July.
Tella is a sustainable brand that draws inspiration from the Finnish nature. Tella's timelessly beautiful caps are comfortable to wear and provide protection against any kind of weather. Their caps come in both monochrome and multi-coloured versions, including patterns. For emergency needs, Tella started the production of personal protective equipment and now starts selling disposable face masks to consumers as part of the fashion partnership with Hotel Lilla Roberts. Both the caps and disposable face masks are on display at Hotel Lilla Roberts from 15 June.
Tella's story began in 1935, when Aarne Saksa together with his partners founded the headwear company Teuvan Lakkitehdas. The company was passed on to Aarne's son, Antero Saksa. In 2016, Liina-Maaria Lönnroth became the CEO of the company, continuing the lifework of her grandfather Antero and great-grandfather Aarne. At the same time, Tella moved from Teuva to the neighbouring municipality Kurikka.
All materials used by Tella in cap production have been chosen based on ecological grounds, and suppliers have been carefully selected according to Tella’s responsible values. The fabrics of the caps contain materials where the main raw materials are natural materials such as wool and linen. Tella's caps are designed entirely in Finland and are manufactured within a 30-kilometer radius of Tella's headquarters.
During the coronavirus pandemic, Tella has adhered to its responsible values by launching a large-scale personal protective equipment production. Until now, their personal protective equipment has been made and sold only for professional use in healthcare. The face mask (class I) displayed at Hotel Lilla Roberts is Tella's first piece of personal protective equipment designed for consumer use.
Tella products can be purchased online and from retailers.
